Our firm is a boutique public accounting practice in the heart of the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland and this year we are celebrating 70 years in business.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Services Accountant to join our team. We work with clients across a wide range of industries, including but not limited to:

• Education sector
• Not-for-profits
• Licensed clubs
• Legal and real estate service providers
• Private goods and services providers

Your Responsibilities

• Preparation of income tax returns
• Preparation of financial statements for partnerships, companies and trust.
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements.
• Preparation of payroll tax returns.
• Working with Xero, MYOB.
• Delivering tax and general advice to clients.
• Liaising with the ATO on behalf of their clients.
• Assisting with tax advice and planning for clients, which may include setting up new legal entities such as companies or trusts.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 4+ years’ experience from a Financial Reporting or Business Services background.
• CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent) or nearing completion.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional work ethic, integrity and accountability.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines both personally and as part of a team.
• Commitment to the firm’s objectives, procedures and standards.
• Results based approach with a strong desire to progress.
